Article: From Amsterdam to Cape Town

From Amsterdam to Cape Town

From Amsterdam to Cape Town

"Some places you don’t choose. They pull you in. Cape Town is one of those places".

There’s a certain contrast in the city that’s hard to explain unless you’ve been there. Mountains that drop straight into the ocean.
Raw streets next to open landscapes.

Energy that feels both calm and intense at the same time. It’s not polished, and that’s exactly what makes it powerful.

South Africa, and Cape Town specifically, carries a deep cultural mix.
Different backgrounds, influences and stories all living next to each other.

You see it in the streets.
In the way people move.
In the way style comes together without trying.

There’s a natural confidence there.
Unforced.
Real.

That’s exactly why we chose to shoot here.

Paper Straight has never been about controlled environments or perfect settings.
We’re drawn to places that already have identity.

Places where product doesn’t need to be explained
it just fits.

Our Paperstraight caps we shot in Cape Town follow that same philosophy.

Clean.
Understated.
But designed with intent.

The flat top construction sets them apart.
It gives the cap a sharper silhouette, more structured, more deliberate.

Different from the standard shapes you see everywhere.

It aligns with the persona we represent.

Confident.
Aware of detail.
Not following, but defining its own direction.

No heavy branding.
No overdesign.

Just a strong shape that speaks for itself.

In Cape Town, they become part of the environment.

From the streets to the coastline, from early morning light to late shadows everything feels raw, textured and alive.

Nothing staged.

Nothing forced.

Just moments.

We didn’t go there to create a campaign.
We went there to capture a feeling.

Cape Town, through the lens of Paper Straight.
